This painting was done abstractly from a still life on the studio table. I was working in a way that was colorful, playful, and warping the perspective. The play was with the interlocking black ink shapes and the drawing, and the colors that moved slightly between shapes and forms. I was inspired in part by the still lives of Richard Diebenkorn.
