This is the companion piece of the acrylic painting of the same subject. Sometimes I find it helpful to explore a subject in multiple ways and in multiple material expressions. Painting with watercolor and crayons gives a different feeling that is more ethereal and flow-y than the heaviness that is associated with acrylic paint. This painting has an open breathability that emphasizes the transient nature of objects- almost looking through them.
